First Legion is extremely pleased to present he OH-6A Cayuse. Nicknamed the "Loach" (from LOH—Light Observation Helicopter), was a small, fast, and highly maneuverable helicopter used extensively by the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Designed for reconnaissance, personnel transport, and light attack missions, the OH-6A excelled in low-level flight and could operate in tight, jungle-covered terrain. Its compact size and speed made it ideal for scouting ahead of larger units, marking enemy positions, and drawing enemy fire to expose ambushes—often working in tandem with AH-1 Cobra gunships in a tactic known as "hunter-killer" teams. Despite its light armor, the OH-6A earned a reputation for toughness and played a critical role in aerial reconnaissance and special operations.
