VEH020 German Panzer III L - 24th Panzer Division

 

  

We are pleased to present you our latest vehicle for our Battle of Stalingrad range, VEH020 German Panzer III L.  During the Battle of Stalingrad, the Panzer III L German tank, serving with the 24th Division Leaping Horseman, emerged as a formidable force on the Eastern Front. Renowned for its agility and firepower, the Panzer III L played a crucial role in the intense urban warfare characteristic of the battle. With its sleek design and potent 50mm main gun, it maneuvered through the war-torn streets, engaging enemy positions with precision and tenacity. Despite the harsh conditions and relentless resistance, the Panzer III L and its crew exemplified the unwavering resolve of the German forces during one of the most pivotal conflicts of World War II.

Also note that this model is based on photographs of an actual tank.  If you look closely, you will notice that while the tank is the 24th Panzer Division, the right side of the turret has the 14th Division insignia.  This is becuase the surviving elements of the 14th Division were rolled into the 24th Division.   Hence this particular model shows markings for both per the actual photo.
