VEH001 Sturmgeschütz III Ausf. F/8

 

 

Our first WWII vehicle is the Stug III Ausf. F/8 with the Stuk 40 L/48 gun and and bolted on applique armor.   It bears the markings of the Stug Abteilung 245 and has been painted in tan color that was in use at this stage of the war at a time when German armor was transitioning from panzer gray.   VEH001 is also fitted with a tropical air filter which was in use both in the desert and on the dusty russian steps and comes with a removeable stowage box, aerial recognition flag, and spare track.  The crew variant for this model wear hats and as another innovation are full bodied figures which can be displayed both inside and outside the model for maximum flexibility.   Further, the gun can be displayed both lowered for firing and raised for travelling mode.   Finally, the tow cables are realistically attached but not fixed to the model, so that they can be lifted off, straightened, and used as part of diorama of the Stug towing/being towed by another vehicle.   The pefect compliment to our figures, this is a highly detailed and superbly sculpted, painted, and detailed model.    Use it in conjunction for set GERSTAL015 Heer Infantry Tank Riders for the ultimate Stalingrad Stug display!
