RUSSTAL009 - Soviet Red Army Scout Detachment - Stalingrad 1942
The reconnaissance units, or razvedchiki, were the elite combat infantry of the Red Army during the second world war. Comprised of the finest troops, each rifle regiment typically had a company of scouts attached while each division had a battalion of such troops. The "amoeba" pattern camouflage was unique to elite troop types such as the scouts and we have presented them here in mix of camouflage two piece hooded smocks and non-camouflage standard uniforms to represent that even the elite troops made due with what they had in the cauldron of Stalingrad. As was normal for the Scouts, and for most assault troops during the battle, we have depicted them lightly equipped armed with PPSH41 SMGs. The high rate of fire, light equipment load, and elite status made them the ideal assault troops to recapture a critical position during the battle. Sculpted and painted to the highest standards which you've come to expect from First Legion, these figures will make an excellent addition to any serious WWII toy soldier collection.

54mm Hand Painted figure for collectors from the World War II product range.
