First Legion is pleased to present our latest addition to our Napoleon's Europe range, NAP0188-NAP0197 Westphalian Guard Chasseurs. Once again we revisit Borodino with some additional French Allies. The Westphalian Guard Chasseurs were part of Junots VIII Corps at Borodino and were the elite light infantry of the Westphalian army of the Napoleonic Wars. By creating such figures, we once again reinforce that we will cover everything with our Napoleonics range, not just the guys in red and the guys in blue. We sincerely hope you them! Back in June we released TER003 Artillery Redoubt which, though a very flexible piece, was designed as part of our Borodino coverage. Well we are finally giving you what you need to fill it properly with sets NAP0171-NAP0173 Russian Foot Artillery! This set is available in an A and B version, the difference being the type of gun it ships with. NAP0171A comes with a 12lb heavy field piece and 6 figures, while NAP0171B comes with a 20lb Licorne (howitzer) and 6 figures. For additional flexibility, each of the guns is also sold separately as NAP0172 12lb Heavy Field Piece and NAP0173 20lb Licorne (howitzer). With this addition, our coverage of the Russian army continues to grow with the first of the infantry coming next! These figures will be shipping to customers mid-November 2009. Over a year in the making, we are pleased to start the pre-order for our French 2nd Carabiniers Cavalry! These figures are some of our finest - the horses stand mostly on one leg, at most two, the swords blades are all photo etched, and the reins on the horses are all custom hand applied copper to provide a more realistic look to them. All this plus the level of sculpting and painting that you expect from First Legion figures and this is one stunning release. NAP0073-NAP0080 French 2nd Carabiniers Cavalry consists of 8 figures including a Standard Bearer, and Officer, a Trumpeter, and five troopers, one of which is being thrown from his horse. We are pleased to finally announce the start of the pre-order for the first vehicles of our WWII: The Battle of Stalingrad product range. VEH001 Stug III Ausf F/8 and VEH002 Stug III Ausf F with Ostketten are highly detailed, superbly sculpted and painted models. Each comes with two full bodied crew figures that can be displayed both inside and outside of the model. The gun barrels on both of these models also raise and lower to represent both firing and travelling modes. TER004-6 Plancenoit/European Village Now Available for Pre-Order

Many of you have commented on the beautiful village scene that we've used to create our Plancenoit village in the images on our homepage and gallery. Well, now they are available to you for order. TER004 European Modular Wall Set comes with 6 pieces and can be setup any number of ways including flush connecting to the buildings to create a walled village or walled garden. TER005 Plancenoit European Village House 1 is mostly intact and has a lift off roof and lift off upper level so that figures can be placed both on the lower level and the upper level of the building. TER006 Plancenoit European Village House 2 is an imposing building with a lift off roof and two lift off upper levels as well as a small rear courtyard. Used in combination with one another as originally designed, they can be used to create a fantastic modular village scene. Though designed for our Napoleonic range, they are equally useful for many periods in history particularly WWII! New Napoleon's Europe Sub-Range Launch - Famous Mounted Personalities - NAP0167 General Colbert!

We have expanded our Napoleon's Europe offerings to include a sub-range of Famous Mounted Personalities. For these figures, of which we will make only 150 of each, we have really pulled out all of the stops. They are a bit more expensive than our regular figures due to the small production runs, superb sculpting, and the outstanding painting level of their extremely detailed and ornate uniforms, but worth every penny. The first figure to launch in this range is NAP0167 General Edouard Colbert as he appeared at Waterloo in 1815. We have done him on a charging horse that stands only on it's rear two legs and without any artificial support, an extremely difficult achievement normally reserved for figures costing 3 times as much! We will be adding new new figures to this range about every 2 months or so, so please sign up for our mailing list to keep up to date with these and our other products! Russian Soumsky Hussar Regiment Now Available for Pre-Order

Continuing along with our Borodino theme, we've just finished production on the Russian Soumsky Hussar Regiment! As the Russian Hussars are so colorful, we thought to bring several regiments to collectors allowing you to raise a variety of the different Hussar Regiments for your collection. NAP0128-NAP0133 Russian Soumsky Hussars are the same basic figures as the previous Russian Hussars release, but with some subtle changes. For example, we have a trooper with a pistol not in the first release, horses have been switched around, and other small details, beyond the obvious uniforms, to the NAP0122-NAP0127 Ahktyrsky Hussar regiment. These figures are now available for pre-order with a ship date to customers of Mid-July. We hope you enjoy them!

We are pleased to announce that our next 14 packs of 40mm figures are available for order and will be shipping on June 1st. We've added 2 new packs of Crusaders, 2 new packs of Saracens, another pack of Persians, and 9 packs of Macedonians! Packs MC006 and MC007 bring you Crusaders standing with spears and hand weapons allowing you to setup good looking wargames units. Packs SAR002 and SAR003 add additional Saracens, this time with Spears and Bows to take on your Crusaders. An additional pack of wargame unit friendly Persians has been added as well in the form of AN021. Finally, we have packs MAC001-MAC009 Macedonians. With these figures you can build large Phalanx blocks, cavalry units, and Alexander's Silver Shield Guard! Don't forget to use our Spartan range as the Greek Allies to your Macdeonian armies. We have been quietly working on this range for almost a year now and the first figures in what will become an exhaustive and comprehensive product line are now available for order. GERSTAL001-GERSTAL009 Heer German Infantry and Pioneers and RUSSTAL001-RUSSTAL005 Russian Infantry are now available for pre-order with a shipping date of late June 2009. This is only the very beginning of this range and the next 10 figures will be released immediately on the heels of the first 17 in late July/early August and followed up with more figures, vehicles, and accessories on a near monthly basis. Many people have asked us why were decided to throw our hats in the WWII ring when there are so many companies out there who make figures for the conflict. Well, the answer to that is simple: we feel that through this range we can provide a level of realism in the sculpting and the painting that simply has never been seen in a WWII toy soldier range before. As you know, we mentioned were were moving forward with two new ranges early this year to add to our highly acclaimed Napoleon's Europe, our flagship product range. Well, today we officially present you with the first of those ranges, our new Age of the Samurai range! When done well, Samurai really are the pinnacle of toy soldier collecting, so when we decided to move forward with this range, we knew we had to really produce something special in order to do the period the justice that it deserves. We have started off with just a few figures to whet your appetite for what is to come, but sufifice it to say that we will approach this range much the same we will with any range we decide to produce - with world class sculpting, superior painting, and breadth and variety that you have come to expect from First Legion! As part of our ongoing Borodino 1812 product range, we present you with the famous Russian Ahkrstsky Hussar regiment! This release will be the first of many cavalry releases that we will bring you throughout 2009. Russian Infantry and Artillery will certainly follow as will cavalry from other nationalities, but we think that getting out our first fully mounted release to our customers is an important step in our ongoing evolution as a figure company if only to show you all the quality that we can achieve with mounted figures. We feel our horses are some of the best in the world and when released will represent the pinnacle of what can be achieved with a Napoleonic Mounted Cavalry regiment. For those of you chomping at the bit for our Russian Infantry, fear not, the Russian Army will be completely represented by late 2009 and these Hussars, along with the recently released Russian Staff Set, are just the beginning of the exhaustive coverage we will give the Russian Army of the Napoleonic Wars. This lovely set is comprised of 6 figures plus a 9lb gun and accessories and is a special collectors set with a production run of only 250 sets. With this set you can line the Mont St Jean ridge at Waterloo and blast away at the advancing French Columns and Cavalry! For those of you who love our field pieces or who just want some extra guns, we've done a very small production run of the field piece by itself, NAP0072G. Well, the first of our new ranges, the 40mm Crusaders are finally here and available. We currently have the first five packs of crusaders, MC001-MC005 20 unique figures, as well as the first pack of Saracens, SAR001 with four unique figures. We are now casting up the next 2 packs of crusaders and 2 packs of Saracens and then we will move on to some mounted troops. We expect these next packs to be available sometime in March. We plan on expanding this range tremendously and proving regular releases. In addition, we have finally released our French Old Guard Grenadiers in 3 packs and our Napoleon and Ney Personality figures. We appreciate the patience of all who have been waiting for these figures, but they are finally here. The superbly sculpted and painted six figure set captures the morning of the Battle of Borodino with Field-Marshal Kutuzov and five generals and staff members discussing the battle about to unfold before them. First Legion Ltd Pre-Order Shipping Policy

As we begin to release more products and have more overlapping pre-order start and ship dates, we want to make you aware of the following policies:
1. If you place a single order containing figures from two different pre-orders, please be aware of the ship dates of each. The actual ship date will be the date that the last item in your order becomes available. Thus, if you want your figures as soon as they become available, we strongly recommend that you order figures from different pre-orders or with different ship dates in separate orders unless you are that rare breed of collector who doesn't mind waiting. However, please be advised that it is possible for a ship date to slip due to unforseen reasons (such as the US customs debacle on the Westphalian Jaegers) on one of the pre-orders thus pushing the ship date back for all of the figures in your order. So, we repeat, we really recommend that you order figures with different ship dates in different orders unless you don't mind waiting for them.
2. If you order figures in different pre-orders with different ship dates, your entire order will be charged as soon as the first figures in your pre-order become available. We normally don't charge credit card orders until they are ready to ship, but this is an exception to that as we are a small company and it's difficult for us to split orders for billing purposes and charging your order for available figures is the only way to hold them once they are available.
3. With the massive currency fluctuations of late, if you would prefer your international pre-order to be charged immediately rather than waiting for the figures to ship because of favorable exchange rates, please add a comment to your order to that effect during the check out process. Otherwise, we won't charge your card until your order is ready to ship.
Please note that we will always try to meet our customers requirements and will do our best to work with you should an unforseen situation come out. However, our primary message is that you are best off ordering products from different pre-orders in individual orders to avoid any delays in shipping. Thanks!

NAP0081-NAP0097 British First Foot Guards Available for Pre-Order!

Well, the British 1st Foot Guards are finally here after months of anticipation! We're extremely excited about this release and couldn't be happier with how the production figures came out. We put a lot of time and energy into making sure that we bring you the absolutely best toy soldiers in the world and we feel that we've raised the bar yet again with these release. With 17 different figures, including a Mounted Colonel, there are some wonderful unit sized displays that can be created from this release. Our favorite is of course the square, but they work equally well in line of battle. Please note that three of the images in the catalog are currently temporary placeholders of the paint masters because we haven't been able to photo these three production figures yet. These images will be switched out with images of the production figures this coming week. These three figures are NAP0083, NAP0090, and NAP0095. However, as the other 14 figure codes do use images of the production figures, we feel confident that you will be pleased with these three as well as they are of course the same extremely high quality. So without any further adieu, please go check out our new British Guards figure. We sincerely hope you enjoy them.

NAP0066-NAP0071 Cleared Customs and In stock to Ship Next Business Day

The customs saga is over and these figures are now in stock and shipping next business day. We apologize for the delay and would like to point out that the figures were actually on time for delivery as per our original delivery date until US Customs stepped in. The mistake was ours, however, and we have corrected it already for future shipments and we don't expect any problems with future deliveries. So please expect pre-order ship dates to be accurate moving forward as we don't expect to have this problem again.

NAP0066-NAP0071 Held up In US Customs...sigh.

After having been told by our Freight Forwarding company that our latest inbound shipment was out for delivery to our warehouse on Monday, we were contacted by them yesterday and informed that our shipment is held up in US Customs. There is a small issue that needs to be corrected before they will release it, but because of the holiday in the US, this can't be done until December 1st at the earliest. So, what this means is that NAP0066-NAP0071 ship date has been pushed until the middle of next week, around December 3rd or 4th. Not the end of the world, but we did want to keep all of you who have pre-ordered the figures informed that your orders will be shipping around December 4th. Our apologies as we know you want to get your hands on them!

Well, we at First Legion try to listen and meet where we can the requests of our customers. As such, we have created a new catalog section to allow the loved ones in your life to purchase our customers e-Gift Certificates which can be redeemed when shopping during the check out process. Further, we've even gone a step further! If you would love a gift certificate, but would rather have our figures in hand on the day of that special occasion, we have created a new feature for you to allow you to create and manage your own shopping lists/gift registries which you can pass around to friends and family to make sure they get you the presents you want on that special day! NAP0066-NAP0071 Westphalian Jaegers Carabiniers have now finished painting and are on their way to our US warehouse to be shipped out to customers on November 22nd, 2008. The Elite Westphalian Jaegers Carabiniers were part of the 24th Division of Junot's VIII Corps at Borodino where they engaged the Russians in the woods south of the Bagration Fleches and protected the right flank of Davout's main assault. The figures can be displayed in skirmish order or in a unique three rank line of battle. With this release, First Legion continues to bring you the finest Napoleonic toy soldiers in the world. NAP0061-NAP0065 Murat and the Wurttemberg Jaegers have now finished painting and are on their way to our US warehouse to be shipped out to customers on October 20th, 2008. These five figures represent a moment in the battle of Borodino when Murat was nearly captured in the fleches by a Russian counterattack and was saved by the nearby Wurttemberg Jaegers. We are extremely proud of this release, as we feel we have raised the bar that we set with our previous releases both in terms of painting quality and sculpting quality. Simply put, this release is absolutely stunning and is further evidence that First Legion produces the finest Napoleonic Toy Soldiers in the world.
