NAP0240 French Aide-de-Camp Charging

 

 

First Legion is pleased to present our charging French Aide-de-Camp!  Beyond their flamboyant dress and dashing appearance, a necessity to make them immediately recognizable, Napoleon's Aide's-de-Camp played a critical role on the battlefield.  They were dispatched into the thickest parts of the battle to deliver orders, acting as the voice of the Emperor, to find out the status of a situation, and even to take over the command of a fallen general.   We have presented ours charging into battle at Waterloo, the perfect complement to NAP0167 General Colbert, NAP0239 Field Marshal Ney, and NAP0073-NAP0080 French Carabiniers, unable to resist the allure of participating in the grand charges up the slopes of the Mont St. Jean ridge.   Simply superb sculpting on a rearing/charging horse standing on only its hind legs and with a level of painting that is normally reserved for much more expensive figures, NAP0240 French Aide-de-Camp will make a fantastic addition to any serious Napoleonic toy soldier collection.
