First Legion Ltd is truly a company of collectors for collectors.   The partners that make up the company are all collectors and gamers themselves and met each other through a shared interest in toy soldier collecting and historical miniature wargaming.   Over the course of some long term internet based relationships, the idea was borne to start a company partly out of a desire to produce the products that we wanted to see released on the market and partly because we thought it would be wonderful to spend our days working doing the things we loved to do in our free time.   As such, we have a real passion for our product sets and take a great level of pride in everything we produce.   Though the idea came about back in 2004 I would say, life was in the way in all of its forms and we could never get together to make our vision a reality.   This was compounded by our being physically separated across 3 different countries.  Well, two of the three of us stated working in earnest on building the product catalog in 2006 and the third was finally free enough to proceed during early 2007.   So here we are now, in late 2007, ready to release our first products to the market, the culmination of over three years of ideas and planning and nearly a full year or full time work.   We truly hope you enjoy collecting and gaming with our products as much as we've enjoyed making them.     

 

Briefly speaking, the philosophy of our company is to produce products of the highest quality at prices affordable to the average consumer.   We aim to make products that we ourselves want to collect and any who know us personally know that we take a great deal of pride in our collections and have always strived to achieve and maintain a certain quality level.   The concept behind the Napoleon's Europe product range is simple:  to emulate the quality of sculpting and painting found on the most discerning collector's figures coming out of Russia and offer them at a tiny fraction of the price.  We hope that there are many out there like ourselves who want figures that are better painted and sculpted than those typically coming out of China and Hong Kong but who simply can't bear to pay over $100 for an infantry figure or up to $400 for a single cavalry figure.   For our 40mm Napoleonic Wars range, again, the concept is simple:  to create a beautifully sculpted and complete product range for Napoleonic wargamers that will allow them to fight the big battles in 40mm at affordable prices   We feel the detail you can achieve with 40mm is far superior to 28mm and doesn't take up much more space.  However, we want to see large games in 40mm, so instead of designing our ranges to support small skirmishes, we've designed it to provide you with all of the pieces that you'll need to fight out entire battles and campaigns.
