Our 40mm Napoleonic range, which started off with so much promise, has been underwhelming to say the least as production issues have plagued us and we've gone back and forth with various sculptors.   All we can do is move on and let you know our plans for the range and provide the best updated information that we have.   The net result is that we think you'll be very pleased with the direction that we're taking and if you can just continue to be patient it will allow us to produce a range that we're proud to brand as First Legion.   

 

Our original sculptor of the French infantry is no longer with us.  However, that's ok, because we felt that there needed to be a higher level of quality and a lot more consistency to the sculpting across the board.   We're very pleased with the figures that we've released to date, namely the Frech Cuirassiers, Dragoons, and Artillery, however, we are our own worst critic and we simply aren't happy with the current French Infantry and that is why they haven't been released yet.   Some of the sculpts are excellent to be sure and will be released, however, others are of questionble quality and will be eliminated.   That's the bad news.   Now the good news.   First, the 28 packs of Russians are in casting right now and they're looking quite good.  We'll release them as as soon as they're approved and complete.  Second, and much more importantly, we've secured a new sculptor who has commenced work on our next releases and will go back and fill in the gaps to the French Infantry so that we can get the range to where it needs to be.   I think you'll agree that the new sculptor's work is simply outstanding and we're creating a range now that we feel matches our 54mm figures in quality.
